Advocating Early Detection Screening and Treatment for Breast Cancer

Beverly Oncology Women's Foundation (BOWF) is a 501C3 Not-For-Profit community organization dedicated to providing health care services and support for women in our local communities through specialized assistance programs. BOWF focuses on early detection and screening for breast cancer mainly for those in working class communities who don't have access to adequate insurance. Breast cancer after skin cancer, is the number one deadliest cancer in women and through awareness and early detection, BOWF will help save lives. 

In addition to early detection screenings, BOWF is here to provide cancer support services for women who are diagnoses with breast cancer through our Patient Navigation Program.

WHO SHOULD BE SCREENED?

Women who have no Insurance or limited insurance. If you answer yes to any of the following you could be at higher risk and should be screened.

1. Lump or pain?
2. Above age 40?
3. Family history of breast cancer?
4. Overweight?
5. Use of hormones as in replacement therapy or birth control?
   

FREE BREAST SCREENINGS

BOWF offers free mammograms and clinical breast exams to those who have little to no insurance as a service to the community.  Please come to our next screening or tell a friend.  Details can be found on our Free Breast Screening page.

PATIENT NAVIGATION

BOWF offers patient navigation for those who have been diagnosed with cancer.  A navigator will help guide patients through the health care system and help patients utilize available community resources.
